Health and wellness are a major part of Mara’s daily life. In her free time, she loves to run, attend group workouts, or go on long walks with her husband and two children. Exercise is a part of her daily life and she loves to educate friends and family about the importance of incorporating it into their lives. Her interest in physiotherapy started at a young age after receiving treatment for various sports-related injuries.
Mara graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2008 with her Bachelors of Physiotherapy.
Mara started her physiotherapy career in Vancouver where she worked at a private practice clinic for 6 years. In 2014 she moved back to Winnipeg and continued working in private practice and also pursued teaching group fitness classes.
Very soon after graduation, Mara obtained her training in acupuncture. She has also taken orthopedic courses and has her diploma for levels 1,2 and 3 in Advanced Orthopedics. Mara has taken other courses learning Mulligan techniques and most recently has attended orthopedic symposiums. She has extensive experience in treating all orthopedic related injuries and plans to continue learning through courses.
